All art and other assets offered for download from this website are free for personal use. They are also free for limited small business friendly commercial use as outlined below.

Please keep in mind this is all made by a person. There is no AI generated art on this website. I am trying to keep the conditions of use by other small creators as straightforward and generous as I can to good faith use while attempting to weed out the lowest hanging fruit for bad actors. If you are ever unsure of whether something you would like to do fits into these terms or you would like to request permission for a project that falls outside of the scope outlined here I implore you to just ask.

Ilustrations, patterns, & other 2D Art and Assets

Things You May Do:

Producing physical products

  • You’re welcome to use art and assets from the site to create up to 300 physical items per calendar year for each business, organization, or individual. This includes anything tangible you’re making to sell—like stickers, books, shirts, or other merchandise.

    Here’s how it works:

    • If you’re making stickers, you could print 300 of a single design or 100 each of 3 different designs in a year.
    • If you’re self-publishing a book and use the assets in your cover art, you can print 300 copies of one book, or 150 copies each of two different books.
    • You can mix and match as long as the total for all physical items doesn’t go over 300 per calendar year.

A couple of rules to keep in mind:

    • You must create the items yourself or work directly with a manufacturer (like placing an order for inventory). Print-on-demand (POD) services are not allowed with these assets.

      For example:

      • If you’re making T-shirts, you can either print them yourself at home or work directly with a printer to produce inventory for sale. Just no POD services like Printful or Redbubble for this.
    • The assets can be used as-is or combined with your own designs, depending on your project.

I hope this lets you use the assets in creative and flexible ways while staying within these guidelines!

Producing Digital Products

  • So, you can absolutely use the art assets from the site for things like making your website look great, sprucing up digital flyers, or even adding them to presentations or social media posts. The key is that these assets are meant for showcasing or promoting something else—they’re totally fine for enhancing your content or designs.

What you can’t do, though, is use them to create standalone digital products that you plan to sell. Essentially, as long as you’re using the assets for decoration or promotion—not for creating items for resale—you’re good to go!”

    • For example:

      • You may design and print a physical organizing journal and sell it while remaining under the yearly item cap, but you may not create a digital one and sell it under the free license.

Things You May Not Do:

  • Print On Demand:
No art or assets from this website may be uploaded to print on demand (POD) websites such as but not limited to: Redbubble CafePress Zazzle or Studio6 .
  • Sell Digital Assets
You may not sell digital assets comprised of or incorporating any art or assets from this website.
  • Upload to Stock Image or Clipart Websites
You may not upload anything comprised or or incorporating art or assets from this website to any stock image repository such as but not limited to iStock, Shutterstock, FreePik, or Pixabay.

Art Requests

Art requests are not commisions or contracts. They are not binding in nature. While we enjoy filling requests when time and inspiration cooperate, there is no guarantee any request will be completed. If a request is completed all rights to the art produced belong to Silly Spore Studio. Your request does not give you any ownership or rights over any art produced from the request. In most cases art from requests will be added to the general gallery and allowed for use under the same terms for any other asset on the website.

Additional Licensing & Commissions

If you are interested in licensing for use beyond what is outlined in these terms and conditions or you would like to discuss a commission or collaboration please send us a message here.
